This role will play a vital role in powering the future of mining operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of mechanical and electrical systems within our mining facilities.

Roster: Monday to Friday – Perth-based OR 8D/6R or 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra

Key Responsibilities
  • Anticipate and proactively resolve potential mechanical and electrical problems to maintain a zero-harm environment, utilizing technical solutions tailored to iron ore fixed plant operations
  • Utilize advanced technology and green energy solutions to meet the demands of sustainable mining practices
  • Implement data analysis, machine learning, and dashboards for predictive maintenance purposes
  • Manage and execute small to medium-sized electrical projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to industry standards
  • Design and supervise the installation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into mining equipment, optimizing performance and reliability
  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems within the fixed plant
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, ideally within an iron ore fixed plant maintenance environment
  • Previous project management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and deliver successful projects on time and within budget.
  • Expertise in conducting root cause analysis investigations to address electrical issues effectively
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of SAP or similar maintenance management systems
