As one of our highly valued Assistants, you'll support and guide children's learning and development, so they become curious, capable and confident lifelong learners.

Using your skills, ideas and passion for education, you'll help shape the future of children in our care by collaborating with your team to create a safe, supportive and engaging play-based learning environment for children, their families and our wider community.

At C&K Magnetic Island Early Childcare Centre, we welcome children from 6 weeks of age to 5 years old and provide care and early learning five days a week from 8am to 5:00pm.

C&K Magnetic Island acknowledges and pays its respect to the traditional custodians of the land on which our Centre is placed: the Gubbi Gubbi people. We welcome everyone to come and be a part of our Centre community to learn, love, explore and respect our wonderful natural environment.

As a home away from home, our environment provides a safe, secure, supported space for your child. Our dedicated, professional, long term and qualified educators nurture play-based learning. Our environment encourages children to follow their interests, choose between indoor and outdoor play and be encouraged, challenged and supported in their learning. We have a strong sense of belonging in the Coolum Community and regularly engage with the community with incursions and excursions.

What you'll bring

Whether you're an experienced early childhood professional, newly graduated or just commencing your studies, if you're energetic, fun and committed to guiding children's early learning and development, we'll set you up for success

To thrive and succeed in this role, you will either have or be willing to work towards:

  • A minimum of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or willingness to commence studying that qualification.
  • First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
  • Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
  • A Police Check current within three months (or willingness to obtain one).
