***This position is located in their busy ACT
***office for an initial

12-month contract.

About the Position

A federal government agency has a requirement for a 3x Personnel security vetting officer to undertake security clearance processes at the level of Baseline, Negative Vetting Level 1, and Negative Vetting Level 2.

The officer will also be required to assess complex clearance cases, provide Quality Assurance on Personal Security Files (PSFs), and provide sound advice on clearance outcomes.


Duties
Working as part of the Security Clearances and Investigations (SCI) team and under the supervision of the Assistant Director Vetting, the successful applicant will be required to:

  • Process security clearances case management system, for Baseline, Negative Vetting Level 1, and Negative Vetting Level 2 clearances;
  • Provide high quality sound advice regarding clearance outcome
  • Assess and manage complex vetting clearances and prepare documentation to a high standard
  • Provide Quality Assurance on files
  • Work to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Undertake other support or vetting functions as directed by Assistant Director Vetting or Director SCI

Requirements/Skills

  • Qualification in Cert IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting) Mandatory
  • Must have an NV1 or higher.
