The Security Governance team at Services Australia is responsible for ensuring individuals are eligible and suitable to access agency and Australian Government resources (people, information, and assets).
The team assesses security risks through the use of internal policy and process, and the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework.
The team is responsible for:
- Eligibility and suitability assessments for individuals.
- Administration of security clearances.
- Security strategies, policies, processes, and procedures.
The Senior Security Officer will:
- Lead the team responsible for conducting eligibility and suitability assessments.
- Undertake and advise on complex security assessments.
- Contribute to executive briefing, reporting, and promote the agency's security program.
- Support and promote innovation—operationally and strategically.
Highly desirable:
- Certificate IV in Government Security (Personnel Vetting) or equivalent
- 2 plus years of experience in Personnel Security Vetting (or equivalent)
