About the company

Our client is a well-established, family owned company specialising in construction, maintenance, modifications and refurbishments. With new projects about to commence, they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team. Seeking someone with an exceptional attention to detail, diverse communication skill set, driven to meet deadlines and a drive and passion for the construction industry.

About the role

You will successfully manage and deliver multiple sites and all stages of the project on time and within budget, from award of contract through to design, construction and commissioning. Ensure all stages of the project complies with all legislations, regulations and licencing conditions. You will be required to manage Sites Managers and effectively liaise with all internal and external stakeholders, reporting to the Construction Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Effectively manage, lead and mentor staff ensuring follow through on team objectives
* Project planning and scheduling, and ensure projects run on time and to budget
* Financial and budget management and planning oversee cost estimating of the projects
* Manage safety compliance and complete risk assessments, ensure all safety and environmental requirements are met.
* Effectively communicate with all key stakeholders and complete progress reports for senior management.
* Carry out site visits on a regular basis

Skills & experience

Certificate IV in Project Management or above experience in commercial building
* Relevant building qualifications and experience
* Excellent communication and advanced time management skills
* Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving abilities
* Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR), white card and drivers licence
* Demonstrated knowledge of the NSW WHS Act 2011, Regulation, Codes of Practice, guidelines and site environmental requirements.
* Proven experience with MS Project and all MS suites
* Knowledge of financial management systems
