About the Role:


As Lead Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the project office and site office will all planning / scheduling resources and output deliverables.

In your role, you will provide input, guidance, and recommendations for planning / scheduling requirements relative to staffing and project control, preparing detailed staffing plans for planning / scheduling activities.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate scheduling and planning inputs from all functions to ensure a robust and achievable schedule is prepared.
  • Coordinate the setup of and maintenance thereafter of the specific quantity tracking metrics to ensure weekly quantities are meeting the project schedule requirements.
  • Ascertain that the correct scope of work is reflected on all schedules.
  • Integrate interdisciplinary schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties. Works with Studies and Approvals team to ensure that the schedule accurately details the inputs and timelines to allow continuity of all scopes of works.
  • Establish and implement methods for determining activity durations provided by contractors within assigned disciplines or specialties, ensuring all reports are providing adequate overview of contractor scheduled activities.
  • Other responsibilities as designated.

What You Bring:

  • Degree in engineering, Construction Management or related field with more than 10 years of project controls or planning related work experience. In lieu of Bachelor's degree 15 years of project controls or planning experience.
  • Experience and demonstrated skill in completing and directing project planning / scheduling activities across a broad range of civil, SMP, E&I work tasks together with interfaces with approvals, operations & maintenance and owners team interfaces.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analysing, and solving problems.
  • Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
  • Right to work in Australia without employer sponsorship is required.
