About the role:
The People and Safety Team at Merri-bek City Council are transforming as we embark on a journey to become a customer-centric, high performing team, focussed on delivering exceptional value for our organisation.
We are seeking enthusiastic, driven, and innovative people to help us turn our goals into actions.
The Safety Systems Support Officer role is an integral part of our current model.
This position would report into the Unit Manager HR, Safety and Welbeing, supporting them designing and executing on our strategic plan.
The focus will be on enabling business leaders to effectively manage and support their people.The role will partner with leaders and take accountability for the effective delivery of people and safety strategies including aligning performance, capabilities, engagement and talent initiatives to the business.
Skills and experience require to perform the role
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and effectively partnering to influence decisionmaking
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new software (preferably Elumina)
- Solution focused and capacity to deliver change within the business
- Excellent written and verbal communication
