About the role

  • The DFV HRT Officer provides a single point of contact for the Brisbane Region High Risk Team Coordinator and Hospital and Health Services (HHS) staff within the Brisbane LGA
  • The position supports an integrated response within the High Risk Team to victims (and their children) and perpetrators of DFV
  • Deliver high level social work clinical services to support integrated responses within the Brisbane LGA
  • Provide leadership in professional education, consultation and mentoring of less experienced staff and students as required
  • Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives related to Domestic and Family Violence within the context of the Brisbane Region High Risk Team

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding social work service delivery and improvement opportunities as it relates to delivery of domestic and family violence services within the context of the Brisbane DFV High Risk Team
  • Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, antidiscrimination, occupational health safety and ethical behaviour
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision and/or consultation to social workers regarding complex domestic and family violence cases
  • High level skills in time management and work prioritisation
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing research
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and completion of service improvement activities
