Suncorp Group are looking for a Pricing Specialist to help run the day-to-day operational function of the Pricing Implementation Team, primarily by implementing and testing data and/or code changes to our various pricing engines.

The scope of this role covers assigned brands & products within CCPP Consumer &/or Commercial Insurance, as well as CTP, Workers Compensation, etc.

This role is for an initial _6-month contract_ with possible extension.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Analyse, develop, deploy and test pricing data and pricing algorithms in insurance pricing systems
  • Preparing test plans in pricing systems
  • Constructing test cases in pricing systems
  • Presenting the final outcomes for approval
  • Implementing pricing processes within agreed time scales.
  • Mostly this involves working with Excel and SAS (analytical programming language), investigating, creating and manipulating data and running SAS code (with a small amount of editing). Note that the data involved is significant it can be millions of rows.

What you'll bring:

  • Minimum 12 months relevant technical experience
  • Software and Data skills (e.g. SAS, SQL and/or Excel) are essential
  • Proficiency in programming, development and or testing is essential
  • High level of Excel Skills.
