The Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for an Allied Health Continuing Care Services Program Director to join their team on a temporary basis.

To provide leadership and management in the operational delivery of recovery focussed clinical services for the Continuing Care Services Program (incorporating CYMHS, AODS & Specialist, CCT, Hinterland MHAODS, Whitsunday MHAODS and PDMHR teams) within the Division of Mental Health and AODS (DMHAODS).
To provide strategic and professional leadership and expertise for Allied Health workforce within the DMHAODS.The position will be responsible for leading a service culture and practice to achieve and sustain the delivery of organisational outcomes and transformational goals consistent with the Mackay HHS Health Service Plan and the Shifting Minds Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and other drugs Strategic Plan,
Be accountable for the administration, direction and control of the human resource, financial and asset management of the relevant cost centres in the program.
The Allied Health Director / Continuing Care Services Program Manager will function as a member of the Senior Management Team of the Mackay Division of Mental Health and AODS.
About the TeamThe Continuing Care Services program is made up of the community based continuing care Mental Health and AODS teams, delivering services across the age continuum and the HHS region.
The program incorporates the following clinical teams:
Continuing Care Team:
mental health case management/treatment service for adults.
AODS and Specialist Team:
incorporates an AOD service delivering the range of public health AOD services, Older Persons Mental health team, Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation team, Early Psychosis Team, Wellness Clinic nurse and Dietician.
Child andYouth Mental Health Service:
mental health case management/treatment service for under 18yrs, with additional specialist roles delivering Evolve Therapeutic service, Assertive Mobile Youth Outreach Service (AMYOS) and Adolescent Forensic services.
Greater Whitsunday MHAODS team:
delivering the full range of mental health and AODS assessment and treatment services across the age range to the Whitsunday catchment, incorporate up to Bowen and out to Collinsville and south to Bloomsbury.
Hinterland MHAODS team:
delivering the full range of mental health and AODS assessment and treatment services (excluding OSP) across the age range to the Hinterland catchment, incorporating West to Clermont, and communities of Moranbah (office base), Dysart, Middlemount.
About our Hospital and Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Servicehas 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
