We have an exciting opportunity available at our Kings Meadows Frame & Truss division for a Timber Structures Estimator/Designer, reporting to Scott, our skilled Frame & Truss Manager. The selected candidate can expect a competitive salary, to be discussed based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Receive plans from clients, both directly and indirectly
  • Design residential & commercial roof truss, wall frame, and floor systems using relevant software while adhering to standards and Codes of Practice
  • Develop frame and truss designs up to manufacturing stage
  • Prepare project quotations following site operating procedures
  • Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors throughout planning and construction phases
  • Resolve any discrepancies, changes, or corrections as needed
  • Maximize Add-on Sales opportunities to boost revenue
  • Conduct site inspections related to our provision of frames, truss, and materials to clients, when necessary

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Capacity for taking initiative
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting architectural/engineering plans
