The Opportunity
As part of a multi-disciplined team, you will work directly with the Dept of Health in the schematic design of a major new $1B health project.
Supporting the Design Team Lead (Mechanical), you'll work with the builder, architects and sub-consultant civil engineers, initially supported by a National Structures team, as the local Brisbane office expands.
You won't get this type of exposure anywhere else.We are seeking an Associate Structural Engineer and/or Senior Structural Engineer.
The Business
Our client is one of Australia's largest privately-owned engineering consultancies, with a team of over 300 across all states, with 30% of them shareholders.
Much of the team come from large consultancy background, frustrated with layers of bureaucracy; finding a freedom and autonomy here, whilst still working on mega-projects base.
Joining this firm presents an opportunity to join a well-established (over 30 years in the QLD market) and dynamic firm, with extremely low staff turnover.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign structural engineering servicesSite inspections and survey for the purposes of reports or project worksPreparation of engineering drawings, technical specs and documents to meet project timelinesPreparation of concept level designCoordination of design with other engineers and appreciation of other services disciplinesAssist with fee proposals and marketing where requiredMentor junior staffAssistance with developing the office and engineering standards and maintaining best practicesKeep abreast of latest trends/requirements
Requirements
Bachelor Civil Engineering, CPEng/RPEQ (or eligible)Health/Hospital experience would be highly advantageous. Extensive design experience across large building projects Mil) essentialExtensive knowledge of local codes, standards and regulationsAt least 10 years consulting experience. Uncapped ability to grow your career to any level you desire.
