About the role:


This is a newly created role in our Doctors' Health Fund division, the role will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and optimal use of our critical data assets helping to mitigating data-related risks.


The role will support the delivery of the group data governance framework while also focusing on specific activities for the business such as enhancing process documentation, defining and tracking relevant metrics and KPIs, maintaining data dictionaries, and continuously championing data quality improvements.


Key accountabilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of the group's data governance framework
  • Enhancing our data governance practices and capabilities
  • Supporting the execution of the Doctors Health Fund data strategy
  • Helping to promote data governance and foster a data driven culture across the business

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management or similar
  • Experience in a regulated environment (financial services or insurance essential)
  • 23 years' experience across data governance, data management or data analytics
  • Strong understanding of data governance practices
  • Understanding of database concepts, structures, and experience with SQL or other query languages
  • Familiarity with relevant data privacy regulations and industryspecific compliance standards
  • Understanding of policy and framework best practices
  • Understanding of Cyber Security principles
