About Great River City Light Rail

  • At Great River City Light Rail (GRCLR), we believe public transport plays an important part in how a city comes to life. Supporting one of the biggest infrastructure projects in NSW the consortium will supply the Light Rail vehicles and systems, the construction of the Stabling and Maintenance Facility, the aboveground fitout of the Stations, and the Operation and Maintenance of the line.


The project is at an exciting stage transitioning from Design through to commencing Construction at the Stabling and Maintenance Facility.

In addition, we are working closely with our other stakeholder to secure the handover of site from the Infrastructure Contractor to commence the works along the alignment.

As this progresses further, will we commence to accept light rail vehicle (LRV) delivery and the testing and systems integrations works leading up to completion of commissioning.


The role

  • As the Communication & Stakeholder Manager
-
you will provide the overall strategy and framework for internal communications, community engagement and stakeholder management. As our business evolves there is a focus on engagement and how we connect community, stakeholders and staff. You role include helping create and implement engagement strategies, coordinate the production and release of public information to include facts sheets, briefing materials, community and stakeholder correspondence

What you bring

  • In addition to tertiary qualifications (media, communication, public relations, or related discipline), your background will include extensive experience in a similar role, including developing the strategy and framework of engagement for both internal and external stakeholders and community activities. Your previous experience may include working in journalism and / or public relations. And you will possess a demonstrated achievement leading and delivering community engagement on complex high profile projects. As part of your skill set you will possess superior oral and written communication skills, combined with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be able to work autonomously, but at the same time enjoy being part of a team.
