THE ROLE:

The Head of Ministerial and Policy Coordination provides policy leadership and coordination of Austrade's strategic engagement across government.

This critical role is a key member of Austrade's senior leadership team and plays an integral role in building Austrade's influence by promoting the agency's capacity to deliver outcomes and priorities against the government's agenda.


Leading the Ministerial and Policy Coordination Branch the Branch Head will provide strong and empowering leadership to four important sections: Strategic Policy, Investment Policy, Trade Policy and the Ministerial and Parliamentary team.


This is a key position within Government and Policy Division, managing engagement between the agency and key stakeholders including the Office of the Minister for Trade and Tourism, relevant Parliamentary Committees, and other Commonwealth Departments.


The position will ensure that Austrade is perceived as a credible, professional, and influential agency able to collaborate across government, leveraging its unique commercial acumen, offshore posts, and links to international business.
