Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Professional, based in

Sydney or Melbourne. This role is available on a part-time basis in a flexible, job-sharing arrangement.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Proactively contribute to our mature Safety Culture improvement through influencing leaders and team members.
  • Interpret and communicate regulatory EHS requirements to relevant stakeholders. Develop and implement strategies to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support the training and capability programs throughout the organisation.
  • Oversee injury management and coordinate returntowork processes for Australia/New Zealand.
  • Review, respond and support large scale business tender responses from an Environment Health and Safety perspective.
  • Support EHS audit and inspection programs, ensuring compliance to safety and risk management plans.
  • Monitor, analyse, report on key performance indicators for EHS.
  • Identify, evaluate, manage and report on EHS risks and opportunities.
  • Communicate and implement EHS framework and management system.
  • Manage effective relationships and influence stakeholder involvement in EHS programs and escalating any EHS issues to the management team.
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance of our Management Systems (Certified to ISO 45001/ Investigation of incidents including the driving of corrective preventative follow up actions.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • Ideal for individuals with 13 years of experience in a Work Health Safety role or for professional students in the final stages of completing their qualifications in Work Health and Safety, aspiring to transition to a professional Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) role.
  • Experience in Environmental Management is advantageous.
  • A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher) is preferred. Desirable qualifications and/or experience in Incident Investigation and Return to Work Coordination.

  • Exceptional organisational skills and adept time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, enabling effective collaboration with a diverse array of stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, coupled with a proven track record of implementing sound practices within organisations.
  • Track record of developing practical Health, Safety, and Environmental solutions. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of the organisation.
