The Communications and Digital Content Coordinator role is a new position designed to create amazing stories to share this unique purpose with Australia.

This is a cross-functional role for an upbeat person with a broad and multi-faceted skillset covering journalism, content creation, copywriting, and PR.


Bridging our Internal Communications and Customer Experience teams, your challenge will be to capture our strategy, culture, and impact and find creative ways to project this to our team members, volunteers, customers, and donors.


Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with team members, volunteers, customers, and donors to identify content opportunities to promote Salvos Stores purpose and values.
  • Manage, create, and deliver a steady stream of content promoting key elements of our strategy and brand journey.
  • Create, edit and publish engaging digital content and activity that increases social media engagement, drives website traffic and supports the marketing and communication goals of Salvos Stores.
  • Copywriting for our website, intranet, presentations, and award submissions.
  • Video production, image editing and graphic design to elevate content.
  • Provide every day support to our Internal Communications and Customer Experience teams.

A little about you:

  • A bachelor's degree or qualification in Media, Communication or Business with a focus on Journalism, Marketing or Public Relations.
  • 3+ years' experience in a digital communications or marketing role, including online content development (web content, digital copywriting, social media), digital marketing, or communications or similar.
  • Excellent understanding of the retail industry (online and brickandmortar).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
  • A current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
  • Current driver's licence (required for travel or pool car access).
  • The ability to travel interstate and regionally, including overnight stays when required.
