  • Central Coast Local Area Health District (CCLHD) is currently seeking a Permanent Full time Administration Support Officer (ASO) for the Urgent Care Service (UCS), this is an exciting new service operating on the Central Coast to support our local community.

About You

  • Demonstrated customer service skills and experience which includes demonstrated sound interpersonal, communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective, welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to exercise problemsolving skills with reference to established methods and procedures, and uptodate knowledge of relevant policies and protocols.
  • Drivers' 'C" Class licence is essential to fulfil the responsibilities of the role

Where You'll Be Working

  • The successful applicant will enjoy the variety of covering positions within Mental Health Wards (located at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals) and administration offices across the Central Coast Local Health District. The role works closely with Mental health Nursing, Clinical teams, and Administration staff.
The ASO will

  • Coordinate ward/unit administrative systems, procedures, and organisational methods to ensure office efficiency in accordance with LHD policies, procedures and standards.
  • Prepare and manipulate documents which support the service delivery of the unit/department. e.g. legal documentation required for Tribunal hearings.
  • Complete Admissions and Discharges for Mental Health Patients as required.
  • Ward clerk responsibilities in supporting clinicians/nursing

  • Reception duties answering telephone enquiries and face to face communication with visitors, carers and external stakeholders
