Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is currently looking for a Mental Health Promotion Co-Ordinator.

The Mental Health Promotion Co-ordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of health promotion projects using a variety of strategies, including health education, community development and community engagement processes, advocacy and media promotion strategies.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline eg: health promotion, public health, social science, education or extensive experience in health promotion programs/projects that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of health promotion theory and practice.
  • You have a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of mental health issues.
  • You will be able to Plan, implement and evaluate mental health promotion programs/projects for the Central Coast population.
  • Have a current Australian Drivers' Licence.
  • Liaise with local media through the CCLHD Corporate Communications Manager.
  • You have the ability to establish partnerships with community organisations, government and nongovernment services, other parts of CCLHD and any other relevant organisations with regards to mental health promotion.
  • Be able to attend meetings and provide representation on relevant committees, working parties and groups within CCLHD and the broader community and at a state level as required.

The Central Coast Mental Health Service takes an active role in raising awareness about mental health issues and promoting positive mental health within the Central Coast community.

The Mental Health Promotion Co-ordinator works in collaboration with other health workers, service providers and the community to implement mental health promotion programs/projects and to address relevant systemic issues and processes within the mental health service.
