About CleanCo:

At CleanCo we are harnessing Queensland's abundant natural resources to deliver reliable, globally competitive renewable and low emission energy solutions to help Queensland businesses thrive in a net zero future.

Through a mix of build-own-operate developments and energy offtakes we are contributing to achieving Queensland's 70% renewable energy target by 2032.

We are a team of purpose driven people, motivated to create a better world now and for the future.

We are committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion. If that resonates with you, we invite you to consider a career with CleanCo.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Financial Control Manager, the Payroll Lead manages the processing and financial reconciliation of CleanCo's payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all regular and one-off payments and the implementation of compensation review.

This opportunity will see you leading and nurturing a small team, all whilst focusing on process improvements, and managing the delivery of the payroll function that includes payroll processing across a range of corporate and site/EA based employees.

In addition, the Payroll Lead will work on process enhancements whilst supporting the wider Performance Risk & Finance group and will build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage payroll function across all sites and align with CleanCo's strategic goals.

About you:

  • You bring a depth of previous experience in leading a payroll function, ideally from your previous exposure to the energy industry or in a GOC environment.
  • Your experience includes providing expert payroll advice and you bring a solid understanding of current payroll, tax and superannuation legislation.
  • Your high attention to detail means that you naturally ensure correct payment of employee entitlements, including bonuses, overtime, penalties, and other allowances for site staff in accordance with the relevant Employment Agreements (EA's).
  • You are confident in your ability to interpret and implement EA's and are a reliable point of contact during the negotiation and development of all new EA's.
  • You thrive on implementing process improvements and bring a strong ability to deliver financial guidelines and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
  • Your tertiary qualifications include a bachelor level qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business.
  • You have an aptitude in using finance systems and have previous software experience with Accurri and SAP S/4 Hana being highly regarded.
  • You have a passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of a clean energy future crafted in Queensland.

What we can offer:

We understand that work is just one important aspect of our employee's lives.

We offer a range of benefits that support balance and create an engaging workplace, by meeting you at your life and career stage.

Perks and benefits of joining the CleanCo team include:
