The Role

We're looking for a Payroll Implementation Lead to join our growing team dedicated to managing the delivery of outstanding end to end payroll services to a diverse group of SME businesses who span many industries and states.

As a key player in our team, you'll focus on smoothly transitioning new clients to Visory, ensuring they are set up for success with optimal service delivery. You'll handle the initial optimization of clients' payroll data, systems, and processes, leveraging team support as needed.

In this instrumental role, you'll ensure seamless integration of our payroll services, working closely with clients to understand their unique needs, facilitate onboarding, and provide exceptional support for a smooth transition to our platform.

Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with clients and internal teams are crucial for delivering a superior onboarding experience.

We are looking for someone with a deep passion for payroll, who thrives on tackling challenges and finding optimal solutions for our clients and their employees. Previous experience in outsourced payroll is essential for this role.

On an average day, you can expect to:

  • Live in Employment Hero, Xero and the Visory platform
  • Scope work for new payroll clients, and collaborate with them to gather payroll data and understand their specific requirements
  • Onboard clients, guide them through setup, optimise files, and lead payroll conversions and integrations
  • Configure and customise payroll software to meet client specifications
  • Provide training and support to clients to ensure they are proficient in using the platform
  • Troubleshoot and address any onboarding issues or challenges
  • Stay current on payroll regulations and compliance requirements to ensure client adherence
  • Provide Payroll SME knowledge to internal stakeholders
  • Work in partnership with the wider service delivery team including Customer Leads and Bookkeepers to ensure we are meeting SLA's and delivering an exceptional customer experience

  • Possesses a deep understanding of payroll and SMEs' financial back-office functions
  • Is a lateral thinker capable of enhancing payroll processes and outcomes for SMEs
  • Is highly knowledgeable in cloud payroll software, delivering innovative solutions to customers
  • Has extensive experience in outsourced payroll, from implementation to end-to-end processing and payroll tax
  • Proficient in automation within cloud applications and various add-on applications
  • Holds excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, thriving in fast-paced environments
  • Has extensive experience with Employment Hero Payroll (KeyPay), with familiarity in Xero and MYOB being ideal
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll legislation, including NES and awards, able to manage deadlines and priorities autonomously
  • Excels in communication and problem-solving with meticulous accuracy, a collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, committed to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends
