The Role:


As a
Business Banking Manager, you will proactively build a new client base and manage existing client engagement within the Franchise portfolio.

This is the only Business Banker in the Franchise Specialisation and plays a key role in bridging the gap between the smaller deals in BDSB and the larger deals with our SBBMs in the team.

The role also includes strategic planning of key brands within NSW to achieve this close collaboration with product areas within NAB will be essential.


Your opportunity

  • Overall accountability for building client advocacy and originating NTB transactions across key Franchise brands in industries such as QSR, Services, Accommodation, etc.
  • Identify new business and referral opportunities & establish, develop and utilise networks of internal and external contacts to aid achievement of income targets.
  • Strong business development skills are key in the Franchise area, as this is a growth segment for the NAB and will require unlocking brands and markets
  • Raising the profile of NAB in the marketplace and profile of Franchise Banking across the broader enterprise, working with BBCs and BDSB.
  • Assess economic value and risk potential of new business
  • Proactively manage risk and meet all policy and compliance requirements

What you will bring:

  • Knowledge and experience of lending processes and credit experience
  • Experience in a customer facing role delivering service to customers
  • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs
  • Originating & structuring of complex cash flow lending transactions.
  • Demonstrating deep understanding of banking principles and risk culture.
  • Understands the symbiotic relationship between Franchisors and Franchisees and manages the client relationship in a way that is positive for all.
  • Strong Analytical and Credit Skills
  • Preferable some experience having worked in the Franchise sector with a background in debt advisory or leveraged finance
