About the role

  • Supervising and managing a selfperform team and subcontractors
  • Ensuring workers implement control measures to minimise risk to health and safety of themselves and others through SWMS, Special Processes and Corrective Actions
  • Reports incidents, nonconformances and near misses and participate in incident investigations when required
  • Working knowledge of plant capability and appropriate selection for required task
  • Collaborating with project engineers/managers, mechanical/ civil/ electrical disciplines
  • Planning, calculating and monitoring daily cost of resources
  • Leading a culture of safety and productivity
  • Conduct Toolbox talks and prestart meetings

About You

  • AQF Certificate II in Construction (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 8 years site experience with a minimum 1 year experience as a leading hand
  • Demonstrated commercial experience includes planning up to 4 weeks ahead and monitoring of resources within area of accountability
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
