We are currently seeking a vibrant, and motivated Hospitality Assistant who will aid in the daily front of house operations of our Waurn Ponds Estate.

Duties will include meeting room and dining room set ups/pack downs and general waiter service over all dining periods.

The Hospitality Assistant will provide an excellent and consistent level of customer and hospitality service to all clients (visitors, guests, students, and staff).

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing customer and hospitality service to all visitors, guests, students, and people to the university's Waurn Ponds Estate. Effectively work with the Senior Team Leader and Hospitality Supervisor to deliver front of house and food and beverage services, maintain service standards and processes, ensuring directed tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner
  • Delivering effective and efficient outcomes and outputs against team and operational work plans
  • Taking personal responsibility and show initiative to meeting goals and objectives contributing to an inclusive team environment
  • Recognising the importance of teamwork and of effective communication amongst team members and build rapport within immediate team in ways that are respectful and inclusive of others
  • Clarifying expectations and respond promptly to client requests, queries, or complaints to ensure client needs are met to agreed standards and timelines
  • Improving convenience and accessibility by providing a range of service options
  • Building productive relationships with a diverse range of existing stakeholders and actively seek to maintain positive relationships
  • Presenting information in a clear, structured, concise and tailored way by focusing on key messages and check that messages are understood and meet audience needs

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Qualifications and experience_
  • Relevant work experience or a certificate level qualification with post
- certificate relevant work experience; or

  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Hospitality experience
  • Barista experience
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
