The Opportunity

**One-Year Fixed Term Contract**

Working under the guidance of the General Manager - Tax, you should possess keen attention to detail and thrive on establishing and maintaining relationships within internal teams. Your role will involve providing a comprehensive range of tax services in adherence to regulations and timelines. Your expertise in addressing intricate tax issues and capacity to work independently will be invaluable to us.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and submitting income tax returns and indirect tax compliance documents
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of periodic tax and tax effect accounting calculations
  • Offer technical advice on various direct and indirect tax issues
  • Provide timely and precise tax guidance to the company on key matters and liaise with external advisors as needed
  • Interact with tax authorities to address compliance queries and concerns and escalate complex issues to the General Manager Tax
  • Support tax governance and risk management protocols and fulfill reporting duties
  • Ensure all business operations are well-versed in tax matters by providing training and assistance in process enhancement

Key Requirements

  • Relevant degree and membership in a professional institute such as CA or CPA, Tax Institute
  • Preferably a Masters Degree in Tax
  • Extensive corporate taxation compliance experience, tax effect accounting knowledge, and tax technology proficiency
  • Comprehensive understanding of Australian corporate income tax law, GST law, and accounting standards
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, build lasting relationships, and network effectively
  • Advanced degree is a plus
