What are we looking for?

We have exciting opportunities in our Work + Road team due to continued growth in our Canberra and Wollongong locations. These positions are permanent full time.

You will be reporting to a Lawyer, and as one of the support team members in the Workers Compensation team. You will help maintain and drive the success of the practice. Your energy and drive will be integral in achieving successful outcomes along with your positive approach to your work. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating with clients, lawyers and other professionals
  • Arranging appointments and extensive diary management
  • Assist with all administration and management of files
  • Prepare legal correspondence and filing court documents
  • Preparing briefs
  • Managing a database and generating reports
  • Generating & editing correspondence.
What will you bring?

You will have a passion for social justice and generating positive outcomes for clients. The following experience and skills will ensure your success in this position:

  • Previous experience as a legal assistant, with a solid legal background and understanding of Personal Injury or Workers Compensation is highly regarded
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • A willingness to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organisation skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Available to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
