We are currently recruiting ride attendants/operators for Enlightened Festival 2023 which runs 3rd March - 13th March at Parks Place West Lawn located in the Heart of the CBD in Canberra opposite Questacon and Old Parliment House.


This Job is perfect for uni students looking to earn an extra buk over 7 days, or anyone who can work from 5pm-11pm each night between the 7th March - 13th March.


The shifts vary in hours, and due to the unpredictable nature of the event,
applicants will need to make themselves available to work at all times during the event, therefore if you are not available during any period, this position will NOT be suitable for you.

You MAY finish your shift late at night (between 10:30-11pm), so please be prepared to travel at these times.

About the role

You need to be well presented, reliable, highly focused in your attitude to helping customers and able to work in a very busy environment.

Your level of english and communication skills needs to be at the highest level (must be fluent in english) and is the ability to engage with all types of customers to generate a positive customer experience and outcome.

  • Can endure 6 hour shifts
  • Can handle physically demanding tasks (such as standing on feet 6 hours)
  • Flexible to work anytime and at short notice
  • Own transport or access to public transport to and from the Site
  • Fluent English, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excellent time management and quick thinking
  • Ability to follow procedures
  • Sense of humour
  • Overseas applicants will require a working holiday visa (WHV) and an Australian Tax File Number (TFN)

Duties/responsibilities

  • Customer service and possible money handling
  • Assisting patrons on and off rides
  • Attending rides
  • Adherence WH&S procedures
  • Adherence to uniform guidelines
  • Cleaning of amusement equipment
