The Facility:
The Hospital is the largest public hospital for the region. It provides care to a population in excess of 500,000 through a range of services that include acute inpatient and day services, outpatient services, women's and children's services, paediatrics and pathology. The Emergency Department sees over patients per year, with approximately 20% paediatric age group. The department has a diverse and interesting case-mix, with a high trauma load due to its role as the only trauma centre in this catchment area.
