Employee Assistance Program Opportunities to get involved in community and sustainability initiatives About The a2 Milk Company Our purpose is to pioneer the future of Dairy for good.

The a2 Milk Company, driven by science and a pioneering spirit, disrupted the dairy and infant milk formula industry.
At every point The a2 Milk Company rethought how to do dairy.

We do this today by pioneering: Science and innovation to make dairy accessible again The ability to rethink every element of the dairy industry Paying the supply chain fairly to maintain trusted and loyal relationships Our vision is to create an A1-free world where dairy nourishes all people and our planet.

The a2 Milk Company seeks to achieve this through the naturally occurring a2 Milk difference and by bringing a more sustainable approach to dairy.

Conventional cows' milk contains two main types of beta casein protein, A2 protein and A1 protein – our branded milk is different from conventional cows' milk because it comes from cows selected to naturally produce only the A2 protein type and no A1.

Many consumers and healthcare professionals report that certain people who experience challenges drinking conventional cows' milk may experience benefits when they switch to a2 Milk.

The a2 Milk Company has products and trading activities in Australia, New Zealand, Greater China, North America, and a selection of emerging markets.

Our 'BOLD' company values are the guiding principles that shape our behaviour, decisions, and interactions.
They serve as the compass that steers us in the right direction and unifies us through shared behaviours.

The A2 Milk Company

Back in 2000, The a2 Milk Company was founded in New Zealand by Dr Corran Mc Lachlan after an amazing discovery.

While studying at Cambridge University, Corrie learned that proteins in milk affect people differently.
He learned that ordinary cows produce milk with different beta-casein proteins, called A1 and A2 (among others).

What was amazing? Many people who had discomfort when drinking ordinary cows' milk were able to enjoy a2 Milk without the same downsides because it contains only the A2 protein and no A1.

He further discovered that, originally, all cows produced only the A2 protein and no A1 (the A1 protein emerged later through modern farming practises in European herds and then spread throughout the world).

Corrie knew there were still some cows that produced milk with only the A2 protein.

The secret was finding a safe and non-invasive way to identify the right cows and ensure he could deliver natural and pure a2 Milk, completely free from the A1 protein, to people everywhere.

So, he did.
And, from there, The a2 Milk Company was formed.

Today, our mission remains the same: to pioneer the scientific understanding behind a2 Milk so we can bring more people the pleasure and nutritional goodness that only comes from real and natural milk.

The a2 Milk Company has trading activities in Australia, New Zealand, UK, the US and China.
