This position will be located at our Liverpool plant and will report to the process engineering manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental systems and procedures
  • Implementing process & machine modifications to meet production requirements and enhance existing processes
  • Overseeing day-to-day operation activities, ensuring equipment operates efficiently with high throughput and quality
  • Analyzing data from production processes and leading continuous improvement initiatives
  • Enhancing process capability, tooling, and machine performance for improved safety, cost, and productivity
  • Developing control measures to maintain product quality standards
  • Testing and approving new materials for the manufacturing process
  • Investigating customer complaints in collaboration with the QA department
  • Providing process documentation, technical support, and training to operators
  • Sourcing equipment and supplies, preparing investment proposals
  • Maintaining quality standards in production as per Company policies
  • Optimizing production line processes
  • Assisting Process Technicians in troubleshooting
  • Presenting data and reports to senior management
  • Monthly reporting on material usage and recommending improvements
  • Developing procedures to enhance process efficiencies and reduce material usage

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical, process, or plastics engineering
  • Ability to design, operate, and optimize processes for efficiency and profitability
  • Proven experience in process engineering
  • Demonstrated creativity and continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Effective engagement with stakeholders across the organization
  • Team player with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and disruptions
  • Keenness for learning and industry developments
  • Proficient in engineering problem-solving
  • Ability to motivate others and understand manufacturing processes
