The Role

We are seeking a Senior Policy and Project Officer to join our government client for an initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension. This role will contribute to the development of important policies, supports, training, and initiatives that foster safe, respectful, and inclusive work environments for school and corporate staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake research and analysis to identify and develop policies and strategies that enhance the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees.
  • Prepare written briefs, reports, and options papers to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Plan and deliver projects, identify risks, establish governance, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage contracts, including monitoring the performance of training providers against funding agreements and liaising with them.

About You:

  • Proven ability to undertake research and analysis to develop policies and strategies for employee health, safety, and wellbeing.
  • Excellent policy development skills, including the ability to prepare briefs, reports, and options papers.
  • High-level project management skills, including planning, risk management, governance, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in contract management, including performance monitoring of training providers and liaising with them.
