Are you ready to join the dynamic Policy and Projects team at Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA) as a Senior Policy and Research Officer? This role offers you the chance to contribute to the achievement of ANZPAA's strategic objectives and collaborate on a variety of projects that shape policing policies.

Position Description:


  • Support the Assistant Director in implementing the ANZPAA Strategy and Business Plan
  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Lead product workshops and consultation meetings
  • Conduct research for international benchmarking
  • Develop innovative solutions for policing issues
  • Create policy products, briefings, reports, and presentations
  • Manage administration of policy projects
  • Contribute to cross-jurisdictional policy development and implementation
  • Engage in road safety and Vocational Education and Training (VET) policy

Requirements:


  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability in facilitation and presentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members
  • Experience working with senior executives and leaders

This full-time fixed-term position offers extension possibilities beyond June 2025. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. If you are a Victoria Police employee, there is an option for internal transfer upon selection.
