About the role

  • The Emergency Administration Manager leads the administration team and provides high level administrative support to the Emergency Department including the Clinical Director and Nurse Unit Manager. This position provides a broad range of administrative functions across the unit including development and implementation of relevant processes and procedures to the Emergency Department and its staff

Key Responsibilities

  • Roster management for all staff in emergency
  • Support for medical staff recruitment
  • Creation of reports for Australasian college for Emergency medicine regarding numerous training programs
  • Coordination and responsibility for all department meetings including minutes and agenda management
  • Screen and attend to a broad range of confidential and sensitive enquires, telephone calls and ensure appropriate follow up action is taken.
  • Work closely with NUM and director of emergency in the daily management of the emergency department

Skills and experience

  • Significant experience in working in a similar complex work environment where sensitive information is treated with strict confidentiality.
  • Significant experience in demonstrating team leadership
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Significant experience in staff management including rostering and leave management processing
