The Opportunity:

Our Brisbane studio has an exciting opportunity for a passionate Urban Designer with a focus in new communities and urban villages to join the team.

You will work closely with our clients to deliver innovative, considered and meaningful place and community outcomes.

Working with Tier 1 developers and government, we have several exciting projects underway bolstered by a future pipeline of new communities, mixed use precincts and town centre master planning across the state and nationally.

With this, our urban design team is growing and we a searching for a talented urban designer with either an architectural, landscape or planning background and a passion for good design and curiosity to innovate.

As an urban designer at Urbis, you will be working closely with our local and national designers, our in-house planner and economist to deliver integrated master plans including place visioning and the master planning of urban villages and subdivisions.

With freedom and autonomy to explore great design, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality technical and creative design outputs in the creation of place-based master plans.

This involves demonstrating a broad understanding, passion, and emerging skill base in the areas of master planning, urban design, built form, and placemaking.

This is a pivotal role within our national Design team, where you will be a part of a team driven by purpose to deliver significant city projects that create a better future.


You will be:

You will be working across a wide range of project types from individual sites, broad acre green field developments, urban villages and town centres; Providing a broad range of quality services including site analysis, master planning, concept design and documentation for approvals; Graphic representation of design through illustrative plans and diagrams and 3 D modelling and visualisation About you: Tertiary qualifications in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban & Regional Planning or a related discipline; Relevant experience for the current and emerging projects within Design Minimum 2 years of relative experience relative to the role Why Urbis?Urbis is committed to fostering an inclusive, flexible, and diverse work environment.
