About the Upper South Creek Project


New greenfield Advanced Water Recycling Centre and associated infrastructure which will provide wastewater services and recycled water for the Aerotropolis, Western Sydney Airport and Southwest Growth Areas.

The project will include the Design, Construction and 10yr Operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant and an Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will produce:

  • High-quality treated water suitable for recycling & environmental flows to an ultimate capacity of 70ML/d
  • Biosolids suitable for beneficial reuse
  • A new 25km pipeline from the AWRC to Sydney Water's existing wastewater system to discharge brine.
  • A new 16km pipeline from the AWRC to the Nepean River, to release excess treated water.
This project will be one of the most technologically advanced wastewater treatment plants in the Southern Hemisphere.

About the Role


We are currently looking for an experienced
Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the design/planning phase as well as project delivery.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role is primarily responsible for planning, measuring and cost design changes for financial reporting purposes.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Tracking, monitoring, and controlling costs during the project life cycle
  • Interpret specification and standards and assess their impact on project costs
  • Using Planning-BudgetingForecasting cost control model to increase profitability by identifying the variances between these cost elements
  • Analyse actual cost against planned cost and forecast final cost versus budget
  • Creation of tender event schedules for procurement programs
  • Budget/ Tender reconciliation, change management and variance analysis
  • Quantification and costing of construction work
  • Quantity Takeoff and preparing Bills of Quantities
  • Prepare estimates, quantities, prices, costing for project
  • Interface with Project managers and Engineers to best manage risks and opportunities

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Tertiary or Trade Qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience on infrastructure projects within construction industry
