Quantity Surveyor

**Job Objective**:
Estimates and monitors construction costs from the project feasibility stage, through tender preparation, to the construction period and beyond.

**Job Tasks and Duties**:
Carry out Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator duties that include but are not limited to:

- Completing detailed and accurate BOQs/ MTOs using Revu Blubeam, Pronamics expert estimation and Microsoft excel.
- Estimating from the First-Principles method.
- Drafting of subcontractor RFQs.
- Assistance with company development, advertising, and social media.
- Contacting subcontractors and suppliers for supply pricing as required for tendering.
- Prepare, submit and evaluate tenders.
- Attending client meetings, including site visits/ walks where required.
- Drafting of work methodologies for submission as part of a tender Returnables pack. Drafting of Programs for submission along with the tender Returnables pack.
- Measurement of all building materials including but not limited to, Concrete, Formwork, Reinforcement, Structural Steel, and Earthworks.
- Building strong client relationships.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Prior experience in post-contract activities is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in cost plans and variations.
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.

**Salary**: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
