Company Background
Our client is a growing privately owned industrial business showing positive growth in the last few years. They are now at an exciting time in their journey and are about to start the process of launching an IPO. With an energetic culture and working with an outstanding CEO this business has exciting times ahead.
This business is looking for a CFO with IPO experience to join and take them through the next stage of the IPO. With an experienced Board and talented CEO in place, this is an excellent opportunity to help this organisation realise its ambitions.
The Role
As the CFO, your role will be broad, varied and hands-on. You will report to a supportive CEO whilst managing a team of 2 direct staff.
Your role as CFO will include (but not be limited to):
- Driving the IPO Process: Leading and coordinating the IPO efforts, working closely with a team of external consultants to develop the prospectus and reports.
- Negotiations: Managing and leading negotiations with investors, regulators, and other key stakeholders to secure favourable terms and ensure compliance.
- Due Diligence: Overseeing the due diligence process, ensuring all financial, legal, and operational information is accurate and thoroughly vetted.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact for all IPO-related communications, maintaining transparency and trust with investors and regulatory bodies.
- Post-IPO Leadership: Transitioning into a permanent CFO role post-IPO, where you will oversee day-to-day financial operations and strategic planning for ongoing business success.
Your Background
In order to be considered for this Chief Financial Officer role you will meet the majority of the following criteria:
- Professionally Qualified (e.g. CA, ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in driving an IPO in Australia from beginning to end within the last 8 years.
- Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with a track record of successful negotiations with investors.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills,
- Strategic thinker with the ability to provide long-term financial planning and guidance post-IPO.
- Available and willing to consider a 6-month assignment with a view to permanency.
