Kindergarten Educator Position:

12 month Fixed Term - 0.6


St Kilda Steiner Kindergarten is a beautiful and caring kindergarten community, built on 20 years of early childhood education, providing a mixed age learning environment dedicated to Steiner pedagogy and free play.


Temporarily located in Murrumbeena, we are seeking a creative, nurturing, warm and gentle educator, who is willing to co-create a nourishing and strong Steiner rhythm for the children in their care.

The successful applicant will be able to commence Term 1, 2023.


It is essential this person has a strong understanding and knowledge of Steiner Education and ideally has experience in a Steiner setting or Steiner training.

Their role is integral to the overall kindergarten vision and working collaboratively to support/assist the teacher is essential.


We are looking for a very special educator, keen to contribute their skills and talents with the children and who may be looking to be part of the greater vision of this very special kindergarten.


Qualification:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education preferred or Certificate III in ECEor equivalent

Training:

  • Current First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate (HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid responsein an education and care setting
  • Food Safety Handling Certificate as a minimum and a willingness to complete Food Safety Supervision course.
  • Protecting Children: Mandatory Notification and other Obligations in the Early Childhood Sector.

Salary:
VECTEA 2020 pay scale
