The Opportunity

The role is responsible for leading the operational management including condition, cleanliness and safety of Council's Civic and Community Facilities Team, and the management of community's casual and ongoing access to allocated venues according to Council's Community Facilities Access Policy and Councils Licence Agreement and procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the implementation of policy, service models and operational frameworks for the management of Council's community facilities.
  • Lead, support and mentor staff to ensure the quality management of operational resources, asset stewardship, excellence in customer support and risk mitigation in the daily operations of Council's community facilities.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships across Council, the community, key service providers and government agencies to improve activation of Council's community facilities.
  • Recruit and provide direction and support to contract tutors, casual staff, volunteers, and students working within Council's community facilities.

About you

_ To be successful in this role you will have the following:_

  • Tertiary qualification with some relevant experience in a Facility Management related discipline or lesser formal qualifications and substantial experience.
  • Relevant experience in community facility operations.
  • Ability to identify and initiate new opportunities and be innovative in developing new concepts to improve services.
  • Organisational skills to lead team in community program preparation, implementation and promotion.
  • Current valid Victorian driver's licence.
