About the role:


We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Palliative care service at Sacred heart health service.

The project officer will work with the Medical strategy lead to assist in the End of life enhancement project.

The position will work across all areas of the palliative care service in the St Vincent's hospital network and work with internal and external stakeholders.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
  • Relevant tertiary level qualifications in health related field and project management experience including experience in project planning, evaluation and reporting
  • Demonstrated high level organisational, time management and planning skills including managing conflicting priorities and completing several tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines
  • Proven strategic, analytical and problem solving skills and a demonstrated understanding of the research and evaluation processes
  • High level communication skills, both verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders
  • Understanding of clinical practice and the approaches of working with people at end of life.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including use of Microsoft Office
