About the Role:


The Research and Evaluation Branch plays a pivotal role in informing Agency policies, practices, and priorities through trustworthy and robust evidence.

As a member of our team, you will contribute to collating and conducting research, evaluating key Agency programs and initiatives, and translating our knowledge to customers and stakeholders.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing the Agency's research webinar series, presentations and stakeholder communication
  • Maintaining, monitoring and updating the Research and Evaluation intranet and internet sites
  • Preparing highquality, clear and accessible research and evaluation documents in all formats that meet the needs of the audience
  • Providing project support through coordinating a schedule including the issues and risks of research and evaluation projects
  • Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of accurate records of current branch work producing monthly reports which includes the production of Gantt charts, timelines and roadmaps

  • Fulltime position, offering
    37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday**, enabling a healthy worklife balance and time.

About You:

- **Educational Background**: A relevant qualification in research, evaluation, public health, or a related discipline is highly desirable. A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development is also advantageous.

Experience: Proven experience in coordinating and managing research projects, preferably within a government or disability sector context. Familiarity with evidence-based practices, research methodologies, and project management principles is essential.

Organisational Abilities: Strong organisational skills with the ability to independently manage workflows, coordinate schedules, and address issues and risks related to research and evaluation projects. Experience in maintaining accurate records and producing reports is highly valued.

Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using relevant software and platforms for managing webinars, maintaining intranet and internet sites, and producing various research-related documents. Familiarity with research software and platforms is an asset.

Team Collaboration: A team player who can collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Experience in providing project support within a team context is advantageous.

Initiative and Innovation: A proactive individual who can take initiative and contribute innovative ideas to enhance research and evaluation processes. Willingness to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Research and Evaluation Branch.
