About the role

The Senior Manager, Asset Management is responsible for the development and implementation of an Asset Management strategy across VU's built portfolio.

The Senior Manager will lead a range of professionals and internal functions to develop and coordinate activities to ensure physical assets are managed in alignment with VU's strategic objectives and regulatory obligations, resulting in best practice life cycle management of assets.

This includes asset management planning, project management, capital program management, maintenance execution, risk management and asset information management and systems.

About the person

We are looking for a professional with extensive experience in Asset Management including strategy development, life cycle cost modelling, backlog maintenance, asset systems and capital planning. Your comprehensive understanding of external regulatory and compliance obligations will be the basis for your success in this role.

  • Experience in the development, implementation and operation of PAS55 and/or ISO15001 and/or AMAF.
  • Postgraduate qualification(s) in either Engineering, Property or Business Management
  • Extensive management experience in a complex environment
  • Strong financial management skills including experience in managing large multi year capital budgets
  • Excellent communication skills including presenting complex ideas at Executive level

Duties

  • Lead the development and implementation of an Asset Management strategy across Victoria University's built portfolio
  • Establish, implement and manage strategic and operational framework for the planning and delivery of integrated asset management service
  • Develop and implement a coordinated facilities assets plan based on risk mitigation
  • Design and implement systems and processes
  • Develop and implement reporting relating to asset management
  • Manage external (TEFMA, State and Federal) and internal reporting requirements
