The Advisor, Asset Management administers Property Services Facilities Management and Asset
Management Systems and ensures RMIT's ongoing compliance to both ISO41001 and ISO5001
schemes and contribution to the improvement of the overall integrated management system.
The Advisor, Asset Management will;- Be responsible for maintaining Property Services asset information,- Coordinate production of any required asset life cycle replacement reports,- Develop and provide all required asset replacement programs to the Capital Development- Plan (including provision of ongoing support during implementation),- Work with the Capital Works team to ensure the timely and seamless operational handover- of asset information following the completion of works- Coordinate handover of asset data to service providers and ensure this information is maintain according to relevant Australian Standards, regulatory and/or OEM requirements.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
- Advise and contribute to the improvement of planning and quality improvement documents including the Strategic Facilities and Asset Management Plan, Campus Management Plans and associated downstream operational procedures and processes.
- Conduct regular audits and gap analysis of the Facilities and Asset Management and
- Integrated Management systems to identify deficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement and commitment to best practices.
- Plan, instigate and report on the compliance of the facilities and asset management system against the ISO41001 and ISO55001 schemes.
- Coordinate the production of the annual 40-year asset life cycle program of all serviceable and non-maintainable assets and produce reports and recommendations of forward-looking asset replacement programs and projects to be included in the Capital Development Plan.
- Provide advice to senior management on any financial variations and contract service variations based on updated data in the asset register.
- Provide insight and improvement opportunity on Facilities and Asset Management System using the existing and potential intelligent maintenance to optimise and enhance maintenance
- Coordinate the annual large-scale building condition audits and compile relevant data for TEFMA reporting.
- Produce regular and ad hoc reporting to senior management of critical asset failure data analysis to develop targeted improvement to service availability and reliability consistent with asset management planning.
- Coordinate activities to fulfil the Management System(s) continuous improvement initiatives, provide uplift in maturity level and as required to ensure all the compliance obligations are met.
- Evaluate and report on the performance of contractors compared to contractual Service Level
- Agreements (SLAs) to monitor efficiency and effectiveness.
- A relevant tertiary, professional institute, or asset management qualification and/or equivalent studies / extensive relevant experience in maintenance, facilities management or engineering. Experience in management systems internal and surveillance audits and CMMS would be added advantage.
The Advisor, Asset Management administers Property Services Facilities Management and Asset Management Systems and ensures RMIT's ongoing compliance to both ISO41001 and ISO5001 schemes and contribution to the improvement of the overall integrated management system.
