Description:


Martinus is seeking a Planning and Controls Manager to lead the planning and controls function for an upcoming project in NSW.

You will be responsible for management of planning and scheduling, cost estimation, monitoring and conducting quality reviews.

This position is based in Sydney CBD.

Tasks and responsibilities

Develop and implement robust project controls, and accurate periodic reporting and forecasts
Maintain the contract programs through Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Interpret and communicate essential sequence of activities
Identify key milestones, prepare daily reports and dashboards, and maintain the project controls database
Review subcontractor's detailed programmes and integrating those programmes into the master project programme
Prepare and assess detailed project plans for all stages and facets of a project, to help deliver project outcomes on time
Follow up of all contractual issues and monitor the cost impacts
Establish risk management protocols and track potential risks on the project
Implement and maintain effective cost monitor measures to monitor the performance of cost estimates and report variances at regular intervals

Skills and Experiences:

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field
Extensive relevant industry planning & project controls experience
Strong knowledge of project controls methodologies, tools, and techniques
Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling and risk management
Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and team members
Familiarity with project management software and tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent
Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
High attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
