The Opportunity

We are looking for a Solicitor to join our renowned Corporate M&A team in Sydney.

In this role, you will have the chance to work on some of Australia's most significant deals and collaborate closely with leading Partners in our Corporate group, including Tony Damian, Nicole Pedler, and Amelia Morgan.

What You'll Do

  • Work on various corporate transactions, including public and private M&A deals and cross-border transactions.
  • Play a key role in M&A transactions, collaborating with Partners and Senior Associates on drafting and negotiating important documents, conducting due diligence, and providing legal risk advice to clients.
  • Manage your time efficiently across large transactions, collaborate with other legal teams within the firm, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide exceptional client service by being responsive and supporting Partners and team members in business development activities.
  • Mentor Graduates and Clerks in the team, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

What You'll Bring

  • Hold tertiary qualifications in law and possess an unrestricted Australian or New Zealand practicing certificate.
  • Have at least 4 years of post-qualification experience in a leading corporate M&A practice.
  • Experience in public and/or private M&A, as well as corporate advisory.
  • Demonstrate excellent academic performance and a passion for continuous learning.
  • Show a proactive attitude, ability to work under tight deadlines, and willingness to collaborate.
  • Display curiosity about clients, their businesses, and the M&A landscape.
