About the role

This organisation is an independent, not-for-profit industry body that exists to provide education, training and career development.

An opportunity has arisen for a passionate and driven sponsorship and partnerships specialist to join the Marketing and Communications team and build meaningful connections between the organisation and key industry stakeholders.


Reporting to the Director and working in collaboration with an industry development team, this role contributes to strategic planning and has full accountability for the successful delivery sponsorship and partnership activities.

This position also leads the branded merchandise strategy, ensuring all collateral, signage and merchandise is on brand and relevant for assigned activities.

Key responsibilities will include;
Build a strong and positive partnership with the industry development team, taking the time to carefully understand the role that sponsorship and partnerships play, the level of impact they have on the success of the organisation and how this role can provide support;
Build positive and constructive relationships directly with new and existing sponsors and partners, ensuring all requirements and activities are tracked on the sponsorship register, managed and met in accordance with contractual agreements;
Proactively project manage all activations and marketing support and seek feedback from sponsors to ensure continuous improvement and development of ongoing partnership arrangements;
Collate data, analyse results and distribute accurate reporting on all sponsorship and partnership projects and initiatives;
Manage the creation and delivery of internal events and workshops when required, overseeing the marketing coordinator to assist with all aspects of event coordination, ensuring activities are well organised, accurately tracked, on brief and within budget;
Manage branded merchandise, working closely with the industry development team to ensure available items continue to meet requirements; and

Manage the development, coordination, storage and dispatch of merchandise and branded collateral including staff uniforms.

To be considered for this role, your background must meet the following requirements;
Relevant qualifications in Business, marketing, communications or other related field;
At least 4 years of experience in sponsorship, partnerships, corporate events or other related field where relationship management and project management are key areas of focus;
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in building and maintaining new and existing sponsorship or partnership opportunities, including negotiating contractual agreements;
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external industry stakeholders;
Proven experience in high level project management and administration, utilising spreadsheets, databases, collating reports etc;
Outstanding interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills coupled with polished and professional presentation; and

A genuine passion for education, training and career development.
