We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to join our Marketing Team in the role of Communications and Social Media Officer.

The position will be responsible for the successful, promotion and development of John Paul College through appropriate and effective communication, promotion, public relations and community engagement strategies.


The successful candidate will:
Have proven experience in coordinating and developing communications/marketing materials Demonstrate an understanding of communications principles and practices as well as communication platforms; including online, digital and print Be experienced writing for a range of platforms including web, social media, media releases and publications Have knowledge of using and maintaining digital platforms including website, Facebook, Linked In, Instagram, etc Demonstrate experience in photography and videography, including camera operation and video editing for social media Be able to interpret and promote the culture of John Paul College and the Catholic ethos into the wider community Have highly developed interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with people at all levels Have exceptional organisational skills Possess a calm, friendly and professional manner Have the ability to work collaboratively with a team Demonstrate an understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission This is a full time position and is classified as a Education Support Employee, Category C with employment conditions as per CEMEA Agreement
