The Communications team supports IP Australia to effectively engage with its customers, key stakeholders, and its staff.

The team specialises in managing external and internal communication across three portfolios:
strategic, corporate, and internal communications.


As an Assistant Director, you will be responsible for leading a small team of communication professionals to deliver quality and timely communication advice and support.

This includes working collaboratively across the organisation to plan, implement and evaluate effective communication solutions to achieve business objectives.


The role requires a confident, organised and results-driven professional who has outstanding judgment, can work autonomously and influence effectively, and translate priorities to plan, deliver and evaluate effective strategic communication initiatives.


Position duties
The successful applicants will have a high level of expertise and knowledge of contemporary communication practices.

As a senior member of the Communications team, you will:

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a small, dynamic communication team.
  • Deliver and support engaging and innovative communication plans, engagement activities, and media and social media content that align to IP Australia's corporate objectives.
  • Provide communication advice, support and guidance to business areas to successfully deliver business outcomes.
  • Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues, managers, and key stakeholders.
