Division Responsibilities
The Information Technology Division (ITD) supports a wide range of business functions,

systems and lead a significant data capability that supports our compliance and regulation

functions, policy development and program delivery. We are also responsible for delivery of

desktop services to over 6,000 staff and oversee the department's protective and cyber

security services.

ITD comprises 6 branches and is growing to support a significant reform program focused on

modernising and transforming Health services. We are looking for passionate people that

Branch Responsibilities
The Data & Analytics Platform Services Branch within ITD strives for significant

improvements in Health outcomes through innovative contemporary services and

extraordinary customer solutions delivered with expertise, leading edge technologies,

excellence, and care.

We work with a diverse range of business partners within the Health portfolio and across

Government (including states and territories) to deliver secure, reliable and sustainable data

and analytic platforms, tools and services and foundational insight capabilities that help

define the shape Australia's Health and Aged Care policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate workshops with business, Project SME's and business analyst
representatives to clarify requirements and present design solutions***- Produce detailed solutions, data models, Dashboards, reports etc. demonstrating

how the solution addresses business needs***- Lead and Manage business stakeholders to ensure engagement is collegial,

productive and to mitigate risks related to business sign-off***- Lead discussions for technical issues/solutions with both technical and non-technical

staff***- Managing or supervising team of System Analysts and managing work priorities to

ensure the team is focused on the highest-value initiatives***and develop data models***- Supervise and develop by mentoring whilst maintaining positive relationships with

own team and engage in knowledge transfer***- Develop and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders***- Lead and drive innovation and promote a culture of continuous improvement, works

collaboratively and willingly share information and work with peers to streamline

processes and create efficiencies***- Develop and enhance system analysis capability within the team through coaching,

providing performance feedback and knowledge sharing***- Discuss, interpret and assist with resolution of technical issues associated with data

modelling activities***
Key Capabilities
