Seeking expressions of interest for Psychologists and Supervising Psychologists to join our team.
You'll work as a part of a multidisciplinary team within a health centre setting supporting the diverse mental health needs of military members.
Referrals will come from a variety of sources; the member, medical team and Command, offering diversity in presentations and support requests.
Available roles include:
Psychologist roles at Enoggera, Amberley and Lavarack Health Centres:
- The support you will offer begins with initial intake and assessment with flexibility to accommodate presenting need.
- There is scope for the use of psychometrics and engagement in treatment that capitalises on your skills, interests and scope of practice.
- You'll have autonomy to manage your caseload including oversight and case management of externally referred cases and the provision of internal treatment to Defence members.
- Additionally, your management of crisis presentations, risk assessment and risk management planning is supported within a multi-disciplinary team.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule.
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
Supervising Psychologist roles at Enoggera and Lavarack Health Centres:
- You'll be an integral member of an experienced multidisciplinary healthcare team providing a range of high-quality evidence based clinical services
- The team is responsible for undertaking assessments, risk assessments, crisis intervention, case formulation, programmatic treatment intervention, and care co-ordination, as well as additional support services as required.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Been approved as a Supervisor by the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Minimum 2 years full-time (or part time equivalent) Post Graduate Experience supervising b provisionally registered psychologists undertaking a Board approved supervised practice program for the purposes of obtaining General Registration.
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
